Water Infrastructure Planning Opportunity
A Planner Water will contribute to strategic planning services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role involves applying technical knowledge in hydraulic modelling and GIS platforms to assist project delivery under limited supervision.
- Deliver specific parts of water and wastewater infrastructure planning projects with minimal guidance.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of work and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Assist project managers with coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and participating in meetings.
- Develop reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials to support project goals.
- Collaborate with experts on hydraulic modelling, infrastructure compliance, and planning documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, environmental, or related field) and experience in water/wastewater planning.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., InfoWorks, EPANet) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapinfo).
- Strong communication skills, able to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute effectively in teams.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.
- A proactive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and support team development.
Key Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, environmental, or related field), and experience in water/wastewater planning are essential for this role.
Key Tools and Systems
Proficiency in hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., InfoWorks, EPANet) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapinfo) is required.
Working Relationships
Strong communication skills, ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute effectively in teams are essential.
