Job Description: As a Statutory Planner, you will work with applicants, our community and other internal partners to ensure the proper and orderly land use, development and subdivision outcomes within Bayside. Our team seeks to deliver these outcomes through education and facilitation to deliver extraordinary places and liveability.

About the Role: The Customer Experience Statutory Planner role is responsible for providing high quality technical Statutory Planning advice that meets the needs of the community, developers, landowners and Council. This involves a strong focus on phone and counter enquiries, general oversight over the Statutory Planning Departments phones and counter enquiries role, responsibilities and overall function, and ensuring delivery of extraordinary places and liveability.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to understand and interpret Planning and Subdivision legislation, the Bayside Planning Scheme and planning policy and principles at a high level.\
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a very high standard of service to customers.\
  • Demonstrated ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, as well as planning process administration and records management tools.\
  • High level oral and written English communication skills including proficiency at letter writing.\
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.\
  • Relevant practical work experience.\
