About the Role

The Senior Operations Leader will drive and develop a multi-skilled team to deliver exceptional customer service and fulfillment outcomes nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Developing a strong safety-first culture within the organization
  • Operational Excellence: Overseeing daily operations to achieve performance and service outcomes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Financial Acumen: Managing resources and driving cost-effective workflows
  • Site Coordination: Coordinating site activities including building compliance, maintenance, loss prevention, and security
  • Change Management: Leading significant change initiatives as the organization continues to evolve
  • Stakeholder Partnerships: Building strong partnerships with stakeholders, contractors, carriers, and authorities

About You:

  • Leadership Experience: Strong leadership experience in large-scale operational environments, with a proven track record of success
  • Team Inspiration: A proven ability to inspire, coach, and drive high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Technical Expertise: Expertise in warehousing, online fulfillment, transport management, and automation, with a focus on optimizing processes and improving productivity
  • Automation Optimization: Experience optimizing automated equipment such as AMR, shuttle, and GTP systems, to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a track record of improving productivity and reducing costs through data-driven decision making
  • Labour Management: Depth of experience in labour management, workforce planning, and continuous improvement, with a focus on talent development and succession planning
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of container management, customs, quarantine, and freight forwarding processes, with a focus on improving supply chain resilience and agility
  • Educational Background: Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics (desired)
