Job Title:
About the RoleThis role is ideal for someone who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As part of our new specialist disability employment program, we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team.
- To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients of all ages, including those with high level and complex needs.
- You will also need strong engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, developing case plans and case notes and report writing.
- Self-motivation and initiative are also crucial, along with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with employers, Aboriginal organisations and communities, Registered Training Organisations and Apprenticeship Support Australia centres.
- Actively engage with employers, key employees, and participants to secure sustainable employment outcomes.
- Attend careers, indigenous and other networking events to promote our employment services.
- Provide mentoring support to positively address challenges which may place employment at risk.
