Theatre Operations Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Operations Coordinator to join our team at Grampians Health. As a key member of our perioperative services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to our patients.

Your primary responsibilities will include preparing for and managing operative procedures, maintaining strict adherence to hygiene and sterility protocols, and performing patient transport duties within the facility. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting any issues with equipment functionality and engaging in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing for and managing operative procedures by providing direct support to surgeons and anaesthetists.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and sterility protocols, including cleaning and preparing equipment and environments.
  • Perform patient transport duties within the facility, ensuring patient safety and dignity.
  • Monitor and report any issues with the functionality of equipment, adhering to the facility's maintenance protocols.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with operating suite protocols and equipment.
  • Capability of maintaining high standards of care and adhering to strict protocols in a fast-paced environment.
