Sydney Investment Banking Contract

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a contractor for their operations department focused on Global Payments & Treasury Services Operations. The contract will be initially for 6 months with a high chance to extend, and possibly go permanent.

We require the candidate to be an Australian resident due to our client's requirements.

Job Description

  • Monitor payment processing applications, reviewing and validating payments submitted through various methods. Flag issues that arise with payment mechanisms and perform production validation.
  • Process funds transfer or settlement instruction in accurate and timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment cut off time and SLA, escalating issues as needed. Investigate differences in cash processing and perform settlements and reconcilements.
  • Manage daily cash movements by bank clients and confirm transaction validity with managers in cash processing and client services.
  • Research and resolve client inquiries received from the client services team.
  • Adhere to regulatory and compliance monitoring and reporting, as required.
  • Act as escalation point for data processing issues and provide input on quality improvement processes.
  • Responsible for own work quality and completion, supporting manager-assigned tasks.
  • Assist with US tax documentation collection for IRS requirements.
  • Participate in business initiatives, contributing to team objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in financial services or payment processing preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with local payments systems (e.g., Austraclear) and SWIFT payment system is preferred.
