**Key Role:** Communications Officer

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the Chief of Staff receives high-level support for developing and implementing strategic advice and information.

The Communications Officer will oversee content review processes to ensure timely and accurate guidance from the Chief of Staff. They will also manage correspondence responses received by the Chief of Staff, guaranteeing swift and precise action.

To excel in this position, you will require strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain accurate databases, procedures, process maps, and networks that provide up-to-date information.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in policy development, report creation, and correspondence writing. They should also be able to contribute to projects undertaken by the Chief of Staff.

**Core Responsibilities:**

  • Provide key support to the Chief of Staff in developing and implementing strategic advice and information.
  • Manage the review process for internal and external content to ensure timely and accurate advice from the Chief of Staff.
  • Respond to correspondence received by the Chief of Staff, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support communications for engagement and advocacy activities with other jurisdictions, local business, and community sectors.
  • Assist with research and coordination of written advice, recommendations, and information dissemination regarding emerging issues for the Chief of Staff.
