Financial Crime Analyst Job

The role of Financial Crime Analyst is to provide direct support to the activities of client screening, risk rating, transaction monitoring and alert management. This involves providing strong analytical and investigative skills along with astute judgement as to the proper pathway for resolution.

The analyst will be responsible for undertaking client risk rating in real time, including the identification, evaluation and escalation of high-risk clients to the AML/CTF Compliance Officer. Additionally, they will manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, making considered and timely decisions and maintaining records to a high standard.

This role may also involve supporting various AML/CTF initiatives within the business, contributing to internal reporting and collaborative engagement with other members of the broader Risk, Legal & Compliance team.

Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Investigate, assess and escalate daily AML Transaction, Trade and Customer Screening alerts">
  3. Conduct Customer Due Diligence, including Enhanced Due Diligence of high-risk customers and Ongoing Due Diligence of LGT Crestone's clients">
  4. Manage correspondence with business stakeholders, including Operations and Front Office teams">
  5. Assist with a variety of AML related projects and initiatives as required">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or with a regulator. You will also possess a good working understanding of key AML/CTF obligations and requirements, and the ability to apply these in practical scenarios to support compliance.

Rlevant AML certifications such as ACAMS AML Certification or work experience are highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Management, Finance or Law is also desirable.
