Technical Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Allianz Australia. As a Technical Manager, you will provide technical and legal knowledge to claims staff and customers, supporting their growth and development while ensuring operational controls and processes are in place.

About the Opportunity:

  • Provide technical and legal advice to claims staff and customers on Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury schemes.
  • Support the growth and development of claims staff by addressing technical queries and case management challenges.
  • Ensure all procedures and outcomes requiring Technical Manager endorsement and oversight are accurate and effective.
  • Contribute to team goals, assist colleagues, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership within the team, setting a positive example through behaviour modelling.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational controls and processes.

About You:

  • Previous experience in case management, preferably in Workers' Compensation or Personal Injury schemes.
  • Significant experience managing technical claims/situations and discussing complex matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian Workers' Compensation legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
