**Clinical Psychologist Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver tailored, community-based mental health support for young people across family, school and community contexts.

The role involves leading evidence-based therapeutic interventions, strengthening emotional resilience and supporting families to improve outcomes for children and adolescents. We value a collaborative approach to mental health care and work closely with patients to tailor care to their needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver compassionate, community-based mental health support for young people
  • Lead evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Strengthen emotional resilience and support families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tailor care to patient needs

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Fully registered psychologist with a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or other recognised clinical area relevant to the functions of the position
  • Substantial postgraduate clinical experience with specialist knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health
  • Ability to engage in psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care formulation to inform tailored mental health care planning, assessment and intervention
  • Knowledge and skills for working with family systems and therapeutically with families to improve outcomes for children and young people
  • Understanding of childhood trauma, child protection, and other psychosocial challenges in child and youth mental health
