Backend Leadership Opportunity

As a key member of our tech team, you will lead the development and implementation of scalable backend systems that support our admin experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand multi-team admin needs, identify opportunities for system improvements, and develop solutions that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement backend strategies for large-scale distributed systems - optimized for availability, performance, and reliability
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to shape long-term technical direction and influence product strategy through strong partnerships
  • Mentor engineers, promote engineering standards, and champion scalable, maintainable practices across multiple teams
  • Drive clarity, navigate trade-offs, and align cross-functional teams on complex challenges
Requirements:
  • Operated at Staff or Principal Engineer level, with deep expertise in JVM-based languages such as Java or Kotlin
  • Designed and implemented backend strategies for large-scale distributed systems - optimized for availability, performance, and reliability
  • Thrives in ambiguity, using sound judgment to drive clarity and navigate trade-offs
  • Skilled communicator who translates evolving product goals into clear technical strategies and executable milestones
