Procurement Professional

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Australian Steel Products portfolio at Port Kembla. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor contracts for manufacturing operations, providing strategic guidance for procurement planning, tendering, cost management, and contract administration.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires strong commercial and analytical skills, with a focus on value creation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management, and be proficient in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage capital and inventory contracts across cost, quality, risk, safety, and environmental outcomes.
  • Build strong supplier relationships for major projects and inventory optimisation.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
  • Drive contract and vendor performance through process improvements, benchmarking, and best practice adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with project and operational requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on value creation.
  • Experience with capital procurement processes and vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP.
