Project Coordinator Opportunity

At our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility, we have a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Support major capital and R&M projects to drive performance improvement of Coke plant assets.
  • Plan, stage, and work through project lifecycle aspects.
  • Liaise with internal and external resources to develop customer requirement specifications and engage in design review.
  • Ensure project documentation is completed, including drawings, manuals, data sheets, part lists, cataloguing, and punch lists.
  • Support project handover by providing technical advice, commissioning, and post-commissioning support.
  • Supervise maintenance and install activities, ensuring safety standards are maintained.
About the Role
  • Experience with site supervision and industrial project management in a similar environment is essential.
  • A fabrication or mechanical fitting background in a trade qualification, diploma, or degree is required.
  • Understanding or experience with interpreting structural fabrication drawings and welding processes is necessary.
  • Ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands is crucial.
  • Experience in plant process, equipment problem-solving, and reliability improvement is desirable.
  • Exposure to document control and reporting processes is an advantage.
