Freight Operations Controller

Pacific National is seeking an experienced Freight Operations Controller to join their team. This role will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing.

Shifts are 12 hours including handover and you will benefit from additional shift allowances.

About the Role

This position requires a recognised team player, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced shift work environment. To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • The ability to do shift work – Pacific National operates 24/7.
  • Previous logistics experience preferred.
  • Able to work as an effective member of a team and build relationships for results.
  • Ability to effectively use operational systems and to analyse data to optimise business efficiency.
  • Critical thinking skills to enable quick and efficient solutions during the day of operations plan.
  • Time management skills to enable the effective management of deployment and resource allocation.
  • Capacity to understand the relevant Enterprise Agreements, people issues and how they impact the business.
  • High level of skill in providing clear and succinct information, verbally and written.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to reach agreements and consensus despite differing goals and priorities.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Pacific National offers a range of benefits, including:
