About the Role

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for supporting architecture solution frameworks at an enterprise and project/product level to support SG Fleet's cross-functional software delivery approach. You will work in the Platform team, providing strategy and technology roadmap for future SG Fleet's cloud and hosted solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing group leadership in architecture, design, patterns, and practice to support the organization's implementation of business systems across various software and infrastructure platforms
  • Evangelizing group standards and best practice, supported by quality documentation, catering to both technical and business stakeholders, including senior business management, technology leadership, and solution delivery teams
  • Working directly with solution delivery teams to provide expertise and guidance around architecture, with a particular focus on utilizing SG Fleet group standards to deliver business outcomes
  • Designing holistic solutions, including both public and private clouds, across a breadth of software and infrastructure components
  • Researching concepts, conducting special studies, developing proof-of-concepts based on various technologies to exploit new opportunities to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the solution delivery and innovation teams
  • Working with operational teams to ensure solutions are manageable and maintainable, ultimately supporting the requirements to which they were designed
  • Providing leadership, management, and mentoring to individuals and external vendors, as required, to achieve project outcomes
Requirements
  • Developed skills in business, process, and operations analysis, systems testing, documentation, and progressing understanding of systems operations and applications and their impact
  • Extensive experience in Solution Architecture domain, with at least three years of practical experience in a senior technical leadership position in a medium-large size commercial environment
  • Extensive Cloud Architecting experience, delivering high-performing business solutions, preferably for Azure
  • Proven experience in defining Enterprise architecture standards and development of technical documentation for same
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, with one or more successful implementation, either in a greenfield project or a monolith migration
