Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Spatial Data Specialist to join our team.

This role involves working with diverse projects and contributing to the development of transport systems across NSW.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about data-driven decision making, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for both the business and customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to data presentation standards among operators and third parties.
  • Utilize spatial information systems to update, verify, and manage scheduling data.
  • Update scheduling data using scheduling tools and relational databases, maintaining accuracy.
  • Coordinate the release of service change information for downstream systems and third-party applications.
  • Integrate spatial data from bus operators into systems and spatial information systems for managing scheduling data.
  • Apply expertise in spatial data, maps, spatial data accuracy, and analysis for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure the quality of customer information and business intelligence reporting through analysis and verification.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data maintenance and communication.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in spatial tools, data analysis, mapping, and geospatial analysis.
  • Previous experience in data support roles with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of public transport industry practices.
