
Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Case Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will participate in the delivery of a program aimed at preserving the safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children by empowering their voice and fostering connections with their families.
The role involves case management, working closely with other teams, and maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in case discussions, family planning, and community engagement, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Role- Participate in the delivery of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children involved in the Child Protection System.
- Work collaboratively with the Kin Connector Coordinator and other teams to achieve quality support services.
- Gather and record statistical data relevant to measuring performance against agreed indicators.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Certificate IV in Community Services, Child and Family Intervention, Youth Work, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in case management, preferably with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
