Job Summary:

As a skilled Communications Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and installing underground communication reticulation systems. This exciting opportunity is perfect for individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to work with cutting-edge equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our communication networks, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing expert advice on system installation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain underground communication reticulation systems
  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on underground communication reticulation systems
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and statutory testing and inspections
  • Install and maintain underground blasting systems cabling
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Underground mining experience (not essential)
  • Communications Trade Certificate or WA Electrical Licence
  • ACMA Open Cabling Registration
  • Optical Fibre Cabling Endorsement
  • Structured Cabling Endorsement
  • Experience in two-way radio leaky feeder systems
  • High level communications equipment installation standards
  • Knowledge of electronic blasting systems (desired but not essential)
