The Opportunity

We're seeking multiple experienced Network Engineers to join a major national organisation on a long-term contract. This role is focused on proactive network and OT monitoring, ensuring critical SLAs are consistently met and maintained across a complex, large-scale environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain
    IT and OT network performance
    using
    Splunk
    as the primary monitoring platform.
  • Work with
    Cisco networking technologies
    to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
  • Ensure critical SLAs are met through effective monitoring, reporting, and escalation.
  • Operate across multiple, complex sites, supporting both
    corporate IT networks and operational technology environments
    .
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to maintain high availability and performance of critical systems.
  • Participate in on-call rosters and
    overtime (OT)
    as required to support 24/7 operations.
  • Undertake
    occasional national travel
    to support projects or incident resolution.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in
    network and OT monitoring
    within large-scale environments.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Cisco networking technologies
    (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Hands-on experience with
    Splunk
    for performance monitoring and analysis (essential).
  • Understanding of OT environments, industrial control systems, or SCADA networks (highly regarded).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
