Job Overview

The role of a Maintenance Planner is to provide support for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for Defence assets.

This involves working closely with the Senior Regional Planner and collaborating with both internal and external teams to ensure work is planned, resourced, and delivered smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use the Commonwealth Sap S4/HANA System to plan and manage approved maintenance programs and Work Orders within work groups.
  • Conduct maintenance work planning in line with fleet maintenance planning directions issued by the Senior Regional Planner.
  • Identify maintenance tasks, parts and resources required.
  • Source parts via internal and external means.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders on the progress of scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Liaise with the Scheduling team to effectively Plan maintenance around priority requirements and completion dates.
Requirements
  • Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
  • Desirable skills and qualifications include experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or similar), and familiarity with SAP or similar systems – or a willingness to learn.
