Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this role ranges from AU$45,000 to AU$65,000, depending on the level of experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking highly motivated individuals to assist with various roles at polling stations during the upcoming State election. These opportunities include Issuing Officers, Student Electoral Officers, Voter Information Officers, General Assistants, Ballot Box Guards, and Queue Controllers.
Issuing OfficersIssuing Officers will be responsible for distributing ballot papers to eligible voters. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Date: 8th March 2025 (1 day work)
- Time: 7.00 am - 9.00 pm
- Level: 1.1
Student Electoral Officers will assist with polling place duties under the supervision of experienced officers. This role is ideal for Year 11 or 12 students looking to gain valuable work experience.

- Time: 7.00 am - 6.00 pm
- Level: 1.1
Voter Information Officers will provide support to electors who require assistance with language, literacy, or other needs. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Date: 24th February - 8th March 2025 (weekday and weekend work)
- Time: 8.00 am - 6.00 pm (24th February - 7th March 2025) and 7.00 am - 9.00 pm (8th March 2025)
- Level: 1.1
General Assistants will provide support with the setup and pack-up of polling stations. This role requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Date: 7th March - 8th March 2025 (Friday and Saturday work)
- Time: 3 hours between 3.00 pm - 9.00 pm (7th March 2025) and 5.30 pm - 10.30 pm (8th March 2025)
- Level: 1.1
Ballot Box Guards will ensure that ballot papers are correctly placed into ballot boxes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

- Time: 7.00 am - 9.00 pm
- Level: 1.1
Queue Controllers will manage the queue of voters at polling stations. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Time: 7.00 am - 9.00 pm
- Level: 1.1
We are seeking individuals who possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment. Prior experience in customer service or similar roles is desirable.
