About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Control Room Operator to join our team at the University of Melbourne. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, managing incident responses, coordinating communication between security personnel and emergency services, overseeing access control and visitor management, responding to emergencies, and handling daily phone inquiries.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security experience and a valid control room license. Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Requirements
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Current Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Proven control room experience
- Current Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current drivers licence
- Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and quick decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
