Financial Leadership Position
About the Role:The Director of Accounting & Finance will lead a team of Property and Fund Accountants in driving the implementation of robust accounting standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of Property and Fund Accountants to achieve excellence in financial management.
- Prepare detailed monthly management accounts and provide comprehensive commentary on portfolio performance, ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
- Oversee technical accounting matters, including consolidations, acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures, ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Manage and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
This role requires a strong technical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), IFRS, and their application to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Managed Investment Schemes.
Requirements:- Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, with CPA or CA accreditation.
- 10+ years of experience in technical accounting, ideally with recent experience at a senior level in the commercial real estate or funds management sector.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to write and present technical accounting papers effectively.
