Waste Management Job

We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our operations at Port Kembla, NSW. As a waste management professional, you will be responsible for operating Vacuum Trucks and Road Tankers, loading and unloading commercial and industrial waste, performing vehicle checks and service tracking, interacting with clients in various sectors, and completing inductions and training as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload commercial and industrial waste (oil water and septic tanks) according to company procedures.
  • Perform regular vehicle checks and service tracking to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interact with clients in the industrial, mining, and shipping sectors to provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete inductions and training for BFM, industry, dangerous goods, shipping, and mining as required.
  • Work locally with potential trips to Sydney or Newcastle, and occasional interstate trips may be available.
  • Participate in overtime, on-call, and weekend rosters due to 24/7 customer operations.
  • Conduct yard work and daily pre-start and maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Comply with fatigue management rules, regulations, and training.

Qualifications:

  • A manual (road ranger) HR or HC licence with a clean driving record.
  • Good attitude, reliable, and willing to learn.
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Waste industry experience is preferred but not required.
