Job Description

Onpoint 365 is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to support the delivery of climate resilience initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Climate Adaptation Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify local adaptation priorities and develop a coordinated regional approach to climate adaptation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead the dissemination of climate adaptation information, enhance community engagement capabilities, and support broader climate resilience initiatives.
  • Program Management: Consult and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to support the successful delivery of climate resilience activities, identify training opportunities, and coordinate activities and priorities across the Centre.
  • Partnership Development: Foster strong regional partnerships and networks with key stakeholders, encouraging the exchange of climate change information and facilitating knowledge-sharing across public and private sectors.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Baseline security clearance
  • Understanding of matters impacting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples with ability to communicate sensitively and effectively
  • Demonstrated capability and commitment to developing cultural competency
  • Strong experience working with First Nations peoples and communities
  • Proven track record in program management and delivery
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
