Job Title: Human Factors Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our team. As a Human Factors Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Systems Integration (HSI) Lead and engineering team in conducting HSI activities for the project.

  • You will be responsible for conducting anthropometric analysis and task analysis to determine compartment arrangements suitability.
  • You will prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate HSI analysis outcomes and design guidance.
  • You will provide consultation to shape new HSI engineering tools development.
  • You will support the Combat Systems engineering team with design review artefacts and HSI requirements development.

You may also be tasked with developing 3D assets and blueprints for the AWD control room virtual model.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary education qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution and/or Defence sector experience.
  • A good understanding of Human Systems Integration activities.
  • Experience in anthropometric analysis and existing/emerging engineering industry capabilities.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/export controlled technology.
