Senior Strategic Capability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Capability Specialist to join our team in support of defence projects for the Commonwealth of Australia. The Strategic Capability Specialist will undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of data sources on capability acquisition and sustainment activities, provide governance and assurance support, and assist with program reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for synthesizing information and extracting strategic briefing knowledge from analysis, undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis, preparing executive briefings for governance and ad-hoc activities in accordance with Defence policies and procedures, leading or coordinating monthly governance reporting, identifying and implementing mitigation strategies to manage risk, issues, and opportunities related to governance of programmatic objectives, and other tasks as reasonably required related to program delivery of capability acquisition and sustainment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Relevant qualifications or proven industry experience in Defence acquisition and/or sustainment delivery.
- Experience with Defence governance and assurance platforms (PPRIP, MRM).
- Experience with Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements, delivery plans, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and capacity to solve problems.
- A valid NV1 Defence Security Clearance is mandatory.
