Alternate Project Manager Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing and executing mining contracts, with significant exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation.

  • Job Overview:
  • As an Alternate Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall project performance, ensuring safety and productivity of site personnel while maximising equipment utilisation to industry standards.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take their career to the next level and join our WA based Agnew operation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a positive safety, quality, and performance culture consistent with our purpose and principles.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, employees, management, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal obligations, including mine safety, employment, and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Manage site-based functions such as Maintenance, Mining Engineering, Diamond Drill, Crushing & Screening, and other services undertaken in the contract.
  • Provide financial management according to the contract and service agreement with clients, submitting progress claims and variations as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years Underground Mining experience.
  • Significant experience managing and executing Mining Contracts.
  • Strong client focus regarding commercial, technical, and service delivery.
  • Significant exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with mining operations.
Qualifications:
  • Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable).
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (desirable).
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence (C-Class minimum).
