Program Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at Curtin University. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating internal collaboration, engaging our leaders, and developing and refining internal processes to improve efficiencies.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating day-to-day operational requirements, providing support for School Committees and meetings, coordinating events, managing internal and external communications, and overseeing grants and contracts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering annual programs with acute attention to detail and the ability to promote and enhance communication within project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate program delivery and operations
  • Develop and maintain program resources
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure program outcomes meet their requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and provide reports to the line manager
  • Monitor program budget and provide advice to the line manager
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff through effective talent management, career planning, performance reviews, and development
  • Write and prepare project reports and related documentation

Selection Criteria
  • Completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to coordinate and implement program activities.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills with the ability to construct clear and concise reports and other relevant documentation.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, including respecting difference, leading and supporting others, accepting direction, and working to group goals.

Area Specific Criteria
  • Sound research, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
