We are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join our team in handling property claims efficiently and professionally.

About This Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of property claims, conducting thorough investigations to determine the nature of losses, coverage provided, and scope of damage.

Your key responsibilities will include assessing claims in accordance with our service level and quality requirements, determining coverage, reserving within timeframes, making payments, responding to customer queries, and requesting additional information as needed.

You will also have the opportunity to negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate and participate in claims meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of property claims and conduct thorough investigations
  • Assess claims in accordance with service level and quality requirements
  • Determine coverage, reserve within timeframes, make payments, and respond to customer queries
  • Negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate
  • Participate in claims meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as insurance or business
  • Strong investigation techniques and written and verbal communication skills related to claims handling
  • Familiarity with insurance contracts, legal requirements, and regulations
  • Ability to evaluate damage and/or loss, and exercise good judgment in reaching final disposition of claims
  • Capable of participating in audits and managing relationships with customers, brokers, and underwriters
