Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership Role: Provide leadership, oversight and management of the operations of the Sydney Metro M1 line from Tallawong in the North West through the Sydney CBD to Sydenham, and in the future to Bankstown, in collaboration with Northwest Rapid Transit (NRT) and the M1 line operator & maintainer Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) through our Public Private Partnership (PPP).
  • Team Management: Lead an integrated cross-functional Sydney Metro team focused on operational delivery and performance, contract management, operational readiness, customer experience and communications, as well as maintenance and asset lifecycle management activities.
  • Relationship Building: Create and maintain strong collaborative relationships with delivery partner senior leadership teams, to provide strategic direction and drive the delivery of a world-class metro line with an organisational culture of continuous improvement and robust operational capability.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Ensure the operations team partners with matrixed and embedded resources from across Sydney Metro and Transport cluster to support the existing metro line and build knowledge and capability to support delivery and operations of future metro lines.

About You
  • Required Skills: Hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in railway operations.
  • Qualifications and Experience: Have a strategic mindset with big picture thinking and the ability to step out of day-to-day to display proven executive-level leadership and management.
