Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Guide Dogs SA/NT. As a Vision Specialist, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life and independence of our clients with low vision or blindness.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct vision-related services to our clients and the community, including assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing programs for clients in hospital, school, home and community settings.
This is a diverse role where you can tap into all of your OT skills and gain experience in vision specialist interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide occupational therapy services to clients with low vision or blindness, including home modifications recommendations, equipment prescription and therapeutic interventions.
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals to develop and implement individualized plans for clients.
- Deliver education and training to stakeholders on vision rehabilitation and assistive technology.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for registration.
- Experience working with clients with neurological vision loss, assistive technology and/or early intervention would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
