About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Manager to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Communications & Public Affairs division, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing change communication strategies to support the delivery of successful change programs and initiatives across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement change communication strategies to effectively support the delivery of successful change programs and initiatives
  • Work closely with project change leads, initiative leads, Talent & Culture, and business stakeholders to plan, implement, and monitor communications strategies and activities
  • Monitor the sequencing of change communications to manage reputation risk and issues, escalating to Senior Manager, Change & Project Communications when required
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes aligned to strategic narrative of the division
  • Utilize regular enterprise communication channels to support change programs or initiatives
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Senior Manager, Change & Project Communications in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice and emerging ideas on change communications
Requirements
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on outcomes, business acumen, and strong problem-solving capability
  • Broad perspective with the ability to maintain situational awareness, look ahead for obstacles and opportunities, and be curious about new information and diverse perspectives
  • Sound judgement with the ability to make timely decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Project management skills with the ability to produce, consult, and follow through on significant communications plans and strategies
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills in multiple styles and for a broad range of channels and situations
