About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Risk and Insurance professional to join our team at City of Ryde. In this crucial role, you will promote and support the implementation of our Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring our organization is prepared for and can effectively manage potential risks.

You will be responsible for processing external liability claims, supporting the preparation of annual insurance policies, and working closely with our insurer to analyze and improve our risk management processes.

This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our risk management strategies and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
  • Process external liability claims and support the preparation of annual insurance policies
  • Work closely with our insurer to analyze and improve our risk management processes
  • Maintain and update our risk documentation
  • Facilitate annual risk assessments and lead the update and testing of our Business Continuity Plan
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk management, insurance, business, or a related field
  • Expertise in relevant legislation and Australian standards
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and driving innovation
