About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and competent Lifeguard to join our team at Beatty Park Leisure Centre. As a Lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our patrons and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise public use of the facility and respond to any first aid cases
  • Conduct water tests and attend regular in-service training sessions
  • Set up and dismantle equipment for programs and ensure safety and security
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer service and comply with the Council's Customer Service Charter
  • Ensure the work area is maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy condition
Requirements
  • A strong swimmer with the fitness ability to endure real and/or test 'rescue swims'
  • Previous experience working in a leisure centre environment is highly regarded
  • Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Resuscitation Certificate and Oxygen Training
  • A Pool Management Certificate will be highly regarded but not essential
