We are seeking a motivated and competent Lifeguard to join our team at Beatty Park Leisure Centre.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring public safety, supervising the use of the facility, attending to first aid cases, conducting water tests, and participating in regular training sessions.

This role also involves setting up and dismantling equipment for programs, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise public use of the facility to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Attend to first aid cases and provide assistance as needed.
  • Conduct water tests to maintain the highest standards of water quality.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest lifeguarding techniques and procedures.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment for programs to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, adhering to the Council's Customer Service Charter.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and free from hazards.
Requirements
  • A strong swimmer with the fitness ability to endure rescue swims.
  • Previous experience working in a leisure centre environment is highly regarded.
  • Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Resuscitation Certificate and Oxygen Training.
  • A Pool Management Certificate is highly regarded but not essential.
