This is a highly responsible role that requires the ability to manage and maintain an optimal inventory level, ensuring continuous supply of materials to support production operations.
Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory management system is crucial for this position. Effective stocktaking and cycle counting processes are essential to achieve this goal.
This Inventory Management Specialist will also be responsible for implementing process improvements to reduce inventory levels, minimise costs, and maximise working capital. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is vital to ensure accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and components.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess sound knowledge of SAP R/3 MM and experience with a warehouse management system. Advanced Excel skills and strong administrative capabilities are necessary to prepare regular reports and manage shortages, excess and ageing stock effectively.
A high degree of accuracy with close attention to detail is required for this role, as well as excellent organisational skills to plan, prioritise, and effectively manage resources. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential to collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors.
We are seeking an experienced inventory professional who excels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, and possess a strong ability to manage priorities and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our inventory management system, and managing stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Process Improvement: Assisting with the implementation of new systems and processes to reduce inventory, minimise costs, and maximise working capital.
- Coordination & Communication: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Reporting & Compliance: Preparing regular reports, managing shortages, excess and ageing stock, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies, quality management processes, and OH&S requirements.
