
Comprehensive Cancer Care Coordinator

This role focuses on delivering holistic health promotion, community education, and culturally safe cancer care pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote cancer screening resources across community programs to foster a culture of prevention.
- Support clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways, providing tailored guidance and expertise.
- Coordinate planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals and optimize patient outcomes.
- Develop and deliver health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education initiatives that cater to diverse needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement processes and develop culturally appropriate learning materials to enhance service delivery.
Requirements:
- A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential.
- Experience in community health, chronic disease, oncology, or related fields is highly valued.
- A valid QLD Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR certification, Blue Card, and National Police Check are mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with rural and remote communities, particularly those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
