Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Position

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our Repairs & Service Team.

  • To diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in heavy diesel vehicles;
  • To repair, service, replace diesel engines, brakes, electrical and fuel systems;
  • To read and interpret technical manuals and schematics;
  • To maintain a strong safety-first mindset and problem-solving skills;
  • To demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work independently;
  • To possess strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment;

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have unrestricted Australian working rights;
  • Have demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel vehicles;
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work within the timeframe;
  • Hold an excellent safety mindset;
  • Be willing to coach or mentor apprentices, trades assistants, and others;

Requirements:

Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (Australian Recognised Heavy Vehicle Mechanics)
