We are seeking an experienced and versatile All-Round Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of cooking skills and the ability to prepare a variety of dishes from different cuisines. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for food, as well as the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Meal Preparation and Cooking:
    • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards.
    • Create new recipes and contribute to menu development, considering seasonal ingredients and dietary requirements.
  • Kitchen Management:
    • Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner.
    • Assist in ordering, inventory management, and procurement of kitchen supplies.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene:
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
    • Properly store food items and maintain organized workstations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and teamwork.
    • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding menu specials and dietary restrictions of guests.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks of prepared dishes.
    • Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Special Events and Catering:
    • Prepare and execute meals for special events, banquets, or catering services as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a cook in a similar role or relevant culinary experience.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative flair for presentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Food handler's certification and knowledge of food safety regulations.

Working Conditions:
