Lead Clinical Advisor for Medical Services

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of key clinical policies and procedures within a new NSW Health business unit. As a Lead Clinical Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing governance structures that ensure high-quality patient care.

You will engage with clinical and operational leaders across the NSW Health system, as well as medical officers, locum doctors, and other stakeholders to deliver a safe and consistent experience for patients.

The successful candidate will lead a program of work to create a supportive environment for non-vocationally registered locum doctors, providing them with continuous professional development, career guidance, wellbeing support, and opportunities for permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establishing and maintaining clinical policies and processes
  2. Developing tools to support locum career development and wellbeing
  3. Providing strategic advice on medical engagement and recruitment initiatives

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Medicine
  • Experience in medical administration and management or related comparable experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
