Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant/Fellow to join our team at RMIT University's School of Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and testing in the field of structures and materials, with a focus on experimental testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct experimental testing and analysis of structures and materials using servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical test machines.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of reports, technical papers, and presentations based on research findings.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment and facilities.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in experimental testing and analysis of structures and materials.
  • Strong understanding of testing protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
