Injury Management Specialist

- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead early intervention and workers' compensation processes.
- Training & Development:
- Empower managers and supervisors in injury reporting and management through coaching and mentoring.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement WHS improvements to drive compliance with legislation.
- Research & Analysis:
- Work with external research agencies to develop wellbeing initiatives, reviewing and analysing injury reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Legislation Updates:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in workers' compensation and WHS laws.
- Initiative Development:
- Design and implement wellbeing and injury management initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
- External Partnerships:
- Manage pre-employment medicals, workplace assessments, and other external coordination activities.
- Accident Investigation:
- Determine causes and corrective actions for workplace incidents to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Accreditation: NSW Workover Advanced RTW Coordinator (can be obtained after commencing in the role).
- Education: Degree in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy or Health and Rehabilitation.
- Experience: Proven track record in developing rehabilitation and education programs.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and wellbeing.
- Skills: Strong investigative and mentoring abilities.
