Job Title: Injury Management Specialist

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead early intervention and workers' compensation processes.
  • Training & Development:
    • Empower managers and supervisors in injury reporting and management through coaching and mentoring.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement WHS improvements to drive compliance with legislation.
  • Research & Analysis:
    • Work with external research agencies to develop wellbeing initiatives, reviewing and analysing injury reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Legislation Updates:
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in workers' compensation and WHS laws.
  • Initiative Development:
    • Design and implement wellbeing and injury management initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
  • External Partnerships:
    • Manage pre-employment medicals, workplace assessments, and other external coordination activities.
  • Accident Investigation:
    • Determine causes and corrective actions for workplace incidents to prevent future occurrences.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Accreditation: NSW Workover Advanced RTW Coordinator (can be obtained after commencing in the role).
  • Education: Degree in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy or Health and Rehabilitation.
  • Experience: Proven track record in developing rehabilitation and education programs.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and wellbeing.
  • Skills: Strong investigative and mentoring abilities.
