This operational nursing leader role offers an exciting opportunity to lead operating services for the urology and robotic department. Reporting directly to the associate director of perioperative services, you will be responsible for the provision of all day-to-day processes, operations and patient services within this area.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the efficient use of operating sessions in collaboration with theatre floor nurse unit managers, evening floor coordinators, after hours managers, theatre schedulers, anaesthetists and surgeons
  • Manage clinical processes to achieve and maintain optimal levels of efficiency in clinical practice and ensure a culture of patient advocacy in the provision of care
  • Maintain open communication channels with other nurse unit managers, evening floor coordinators, after hours managers, theatre schedulers, anaesthetists and surgeons
  • Act as a role model by providing professional leadership and upholding values that align with MQ Health and the nursing profession

This position requires strong commitment to quality improvement and active participation in the ISO certification process to meet ISO 9001 standards incorporating core standards for safety and quality.
