Permit Management Specialist

This is a critical role that oversees the safe planning, coordination, and execution of energized and high-risk activities.

About the Role
  • Evaluate, manage, and continuously improve permit-to-work systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop clear workflows and responsibilities for permit issuers, holders, and approvers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to permit processes for energized works, live testing, temporary power, and systems integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate interface management.
  • Lead audits, compliance checks, and investigations for any permit or safety-related incidents.
  • Train and lead a team of permit coordinators across work zones.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all permit and isolation procedures.
  • Maintain robust records and reporting using electronic tracking systems.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Railway Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience managing permits and testing & commissioning on major metro, rail, or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems and energized rail work procedures.
  • Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations, isolation protocols, and permit governance.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
