About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Endeavour Foundation. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities, empowering them to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and within the community, assisting them to live as independently as possible.
  • Develop and maintain important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting to help individuals achieve their NDIS goals.
  • Assist with aspects of personal care where required, including meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning.
  • Facilitate community connection by socialising and going on outings with individuals.
  • Support individuals to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.
Requirements
  • Be a true people person who is passionate, patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Be dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to live their best lives.
  • Have flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks.
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commit to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  • Have good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) would be highly regarded.
