About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our theatre and recovery areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Provide compassionate and individualized care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team: Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Theatre: Bring your expertise in cardiothoracic theatre nursing to our team, ensuring you are up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
  • Patient and Staff Safety: Prioritize patient and staff safety, adhering to hospital policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Enrolled Nurses and other team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications and Registration: Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and possess relevant post-graduate qualifications in cardiothoracic nursing.
  • Experience and Clinical Leadership: Bring a minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiothoracic theatre nursing, with a strong track record of clinical leadership and mentorship.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiothoracic nursing.
