Associate - Real Estate Investment & Asset Management

Gough Recruitment is seeking a talented Associate to join their leading Australia and New Zealand real estate team. As an Associate, you will be part of a real estate investment firm handling a multi-billion-dollar portfolio globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen and evaluate deals through market research, financial analysis, cash-flow modeling, and investment feasibility assessments.
  • Provide recommendations to senior team members and share independent views.
  • Assist in managing the deal process from preparing internal approval documents, conducting due diligence, negotiation, structuring, to closing.
  • Play a significant role in asset management, working with JV partners and service providers like property managers and leasing agents.
  • Develop annual strategic asset plans and budgets, and oversee their implementation at a strategic level.
  • Actively monitor the performance of assets, reviewing performance against budgets and benchmarks, anticipating issues, and recommending proactive solutions.
  • Assist senior team members in business development and relationship management efforts.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment and/or asset management, with exposure to the Australian property market considered an advantage.
  • Strong critical thinking, business acumen, and collaborative mindset.
  • Action-oriented with intellectual curiosity and a good sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage operational processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
