Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.

The CNS will work closely with managers and other senior clinicians to employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Work closely with managers and other senior clinicians to employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making.
  • Develop and implement clinical management plans to manage complex clinical care needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the clinical area of their post-graduate qualification, or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage complex clinical care needs.
