Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our multidisciplinary team in providing expert care to patients who have experienced Violence, Abuse, and Neglect. As a CNS, you will be responsible for providing senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within our integrated psychosocial, medical, and forensic management of victims of sexual assault.

The ideal candidate will have current registration as a Registered Nurse, relevant post-registration qualification, and 3 years' postgraduate experience working in the clinical area of the postgraduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience. They will also demonstrate NSW Health Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner accreditation or extensive clinical nursing experience and a willingness to undergo formal training, assessment, and supervision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the management of victims of sexual assault
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide individualized care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of new programs and services
